FUNYAK SAFARI

The ‘Funyak Safari’ is a truly unique adventure that combines exhilarating wilderness jet boating with unique ‘Funyak’ inflatable canoes for a fun way to intimately explore magnificent ‘World Heritage’ wilderness within Mt Aspiring National Park. An exhilarating wilderness jet boat journey, will take you up the channels of the glacier fed Dart River’s braided river system. The next part of your adventure then begins and you paddle / drift your own ‘Funyak’ on a fun downstream journey. Please allow 9hrs for this activity including travelling to and from Glenorchy. This is a fun activity for children over the age of five.

SKYLINE GONDOLA & LUGE

A short stroll from the centre of town, rise high above Queenstown by gondola to the Skyline complex on Bob’s Peak and you’ll discover a view like no other spread out before you in a spectacular panorama. From Coronet Peak to the north, The Remarkables to the east and across the deep blue waters of Lake Wakatipu to Cecil and Walter Peaks in the south-west, it’s magnificent and awe-inspiring.

ARROWTOWN MUSEUM

The museum is appropriately set in the historic former mining town of Arrowtown. Established in 1948, the exhibits present an authentic picture of early Maori in the Southern Lakes District, and of the harsh pioneering days of the European settlers and the exciting gold rush era of the mid/late 1800s.

SHOTOVER JET

A unique breathtaking ride through the iconic and dramatic narrow canyons of the Shotover River, with full 360 degree spins!
This is a fun activity for children over the age of three, a minimum height restriction of 1metre applies.

EARNSLAW CRUISES & FARM TOURS

Enjoy a stately cruise across Lake Wakatipu to the Walter Peak Station on its far shore. Music and viewing of original coal engine fire stoking en route will fill any spare moment you are not captivated by the scenery.
At Walter Peak station you have the option of watching sheep shearing, working dog demonstrations and enjoy a full high tea before re-boarding for the return journey back to central Queenstown. Expand your afternoon to include a 40 minute horse trek through Walter Peak Station.

OFF ROAD ADVENTURES - QUAD BIKE TOURS

Enjoy the thrill of the machine and a sense of discovery as you venture through some of New Zealand’s most stunning scenery. Experience the freedom and fresh air as you trail blaze round some of the country’s best off-road trails, on top quality bikes. All riding equipment is supplied along with passionate and local guides to accompany each small personable group catering for all riding abilities from beginner to the most experienced riders.
This is a fun activity for children over the age of seven.

HORSEBACK RIDING

See the real New Zealand the natural way by riding horseback through some of the south islands most spectacular scenery including riding through glacier fed rivers with stunning mountain backdrops.
Operating all year round with a variety of rides and abilities catered for, you are guaranteed a personable and enjoyable experience within small riding groups or private tours. This is a fun activity for children over the age of seven. Younger children may be accommodated, based on experience.

PUZZLING WORLD

Stuart Landsborough’s Puzzling World is a unique attraction specializing in puzzling eccentricity. For over 35 years this remarkable business has entertained and amazed visitors of all ages, attracted to this beautiful part of the world. With the world’s first “modern-styled” Great Maze, incredible Illusion Rooms, a hands on Puzzle Centre, and eccentric architecture it is a fantastic afternoon out for everyone.

 

HAVE A SHOT

Just down the road from Puzzling World are the Have a Shot target ranges. With archery, clay bird shooting, driving range and target shooting all in covered pavilions it is a fantastic wet weather afternoon for the family. In fine weather you can also enjoy the nerf cannon “Battlefield” and 18hole Mini Golf course.
This is a fun activity for children over the age of twelve for shooting activities, some parental supervision required.
